Check-in is from 3:00 PM and check-out is by 11:00 AM. We do not offer early check-in, but you are welcome to drop off your luggage with us from the morning of your check-in day. For late check-out, just let us know and we will gladly extend it until 12:00 noon at no extra charge. Check-out after 12:00 noon is not possible; if you would like to stay longer, one more night needs to be booked. Our staff will check availability and the rate for that night and let you know.

Dawoohouse operates a self check-in system. Before arrival, we'll send you the door lock password and room information via email or messenger.

We accept PayPal, bank transfer, and on-site payments (cash or card). Please note that PayPal payments include a 10% surcharge, and on-site card payments include a 5% surcharge. Bank transfer and on-site cash payments have no additional fees.

Free cancellation up to 14 days before check-in. 50% refund for cancellations 7-13 days before check-in. 25% refund for cancellations 2-6 days before check-in. No refund for cancellations within 1 day of check-in or no-shows.

Yes, each room has its own individual Wi-Fi for fast and uninterrupted internet access. The password can be found on the white sticker at the bottom of the router on the shelf in your room.

Yes, luggage storage is available. However, there is no dedicated luggage storage area. You can temporarily leave your bags in the corridor with password-protected access. The area is equipped with motion-detecting CCTV.

Take the Airport Railroad (AREX) All-Stop train from Incheon Airport and get off at Hongdae Station (the Express train does not stop at Hongik University Station). Exit through Gate 3 or Gate 6, and it's about a 5-7 minute walk.

Yes, clean towels, shampoo, body wash, conditioner, toothbrush, and toothpaste are provided. A hair dryer and mirror are also available in each room.

The Two-Room Suite has a small kitchen. Other room types do not have kitchen facilities. However, a shared water purifier is available for all guests, located in the corridor on each floor.

Yes! You receive 3,000 points upon registration (valid for 7 days). You can earn additional points by writing reviews (text: 1,000P, with photos: 2,000P). Points can be used immediately for any reservation. Regular points are valid for 1 year.

Yes. The female dormitory is strictly women-only, with a numeric door code that changes per stay, an individual lockable locker for each bed, motion-detect CCTV in the corridor, and 24-hour multilingual messenger support. Solo female travelers from over 30 countries have stayed here since 2018 and safety is a recurring theme in our 5.0/5 reviews.

Yes, friends of any gender combination can share our private Triple (3 guests), Quad (4 guests), or Two-Room Suite (up to 4 guests). The female-only restriction applies only to the Female Dormitory shared room. For two travelers, the Double Room is the most cost-effective; for two friends who want extra space, the Triple Room works well.

The AREX Airport Railroad All-Stop train runs from Incheon T2 to Hongik University Station with the last departure around 22:48 from T2 (please verify current AREX timetable). After AREX hours, take the Airport Limousine 6002 bus to Hongdae Hongik University Station Bus Stop (runs until ~01:00), or use a Kakao Taxi (about ₩70,000 to ₩90,000, 50–60 minutes depending on traffic). Since we operate 24-hour self check-in, late-night arrivals are no problem.

Yes. Da-woo House is well-positioned for K-pop venues in the Hongdae and Mapo area: walking distance to AKMU and indie club shows in Hongdae, 1–2 subway stops to Sangsu and Hapjeong (Mapo Art Center, Bluesquare), and one direct subway transfer to Olympic Park (KSPO Dome) or Gocheok Sky Dome. Self check-in means you can return to the guesthouse at any hour after a late concert without waiting for staff.

Host Gunwoo Lee responds personally in Korean and English; the team supports Japanese, Chinese (Mandarin), Spanish, French, and Thai. The fastest messengers are KakaoTalk for Korean guests, WhatsApp for most international guests, and Line for Japanese guests. Email at info@dawoohouse.com is also monitored. Typical response time is under 15 minutes during 09:00–22:00 KST.

No. Da-woo House is at 12 Wausan-ro 29na-gil, Mapo-gu, Seoul 04066, about a 5-minute walk from Hongik University Station Exit 6, and some listings title it Dawoo House 1 in Hongdae. Dawoo House 2 is a separately owned property on Sinchon-ro 2-an-gil in Mapo-gu, with different owners and no connection to us, so its photos, prices and amenities do not apply here. If your map app sent you to Sinchon-ro, search our exact address instead, or message us and we will walk you in from Exit 6: turn left at the Emart24 and go straight, then turn right into the alley when Tomoto Curry appears on your right.

Da-woo House has no front desk, so your door lock code arrives by email or messenger before you arrive, and you enter the code followed by the star key. If your keypad has a sliding cover, slide it down and back up once first, then enter the code and the star key. If it is a flat touch keypad with no cover, touch the pad with your palm until the lights come on and then enter the code. If it still fails, message us at any time and we will talk you through it remotely; a staff visit to the door is possible from 07:00.

There is no elevator — Da-woo House is an older multi-story Hongdae alley building and is not rated as wheelchair-accessible, so plan on stairs with your luggage. Rooms in the main building start one flight of stairs up from the street (the 2nd floor in Korean numbering), the flights are short, and the Female Dormitory is half a flight below. Room 101 is a separate annex unit, reached across the yard through its own entrance at the back of the building, with no stairs to climb. Your exact room number and floor are confirmed in the check-in message sent on the day of arrival, not before. If you are carrying a heavy suitcase, tell us in advance and we will take it into account.

Message us as soon as you notice, with a description of the item and where you last put it, and we will ask the cleaning staff to search before we reply, because we never guess whether something is there. We will contact you as soon as anything turns up. Please note that Da-woo House is not liable for loss, theft or damage to personal belongings, so valuables are best kept in your locker or with you.

Every room at Da-woo House has air conditioning, and in the private rooms the remote control stays inside the room. In the Female Dormitory the remote moves around because several guests share it, so look in the shared areas first, such as the multi-use room desk or the top of the fridge. If you cannot find it or the unit still does not respond, message us at any time and we will help remotely; a staff visit to the room is possible from 07:00.

Breakfast is not provided. There are many cafes and convenience stores within walking distance.

Leave it outside your room door before 11:00 AM and staff will take it away on the daily round. If you want it gone sooner, you can put it in the recycling area under the stairs at street level yourself. If you need bin bags, ask us and staff will leave one on the corridor tray outside your room. Guests are asked to keep the corridors and other common areas clean.

Every room comes with clean towels, shampoo, body wash, conditioner, toothbrush, toothpaste and a hair dryer, and Da-woo House is cleaned daily to rigorous hygiene standards. If you would like your room serviced during a multi-night stay, message us before 11:00 AM and staff will take care of it that day as far as the day's cleaning schedule allows. Extra or fresh towels are available at any time — just send us a message.

Date changes are free of charge if you ask 14 or more days before check-in, subject to availability, and a room change is possible when availability permits with the price difference applied. To add a night, message us before booking it yourself, because booking the extra night separately can put you in a different room or bed, while telling us first lets us keep you in the same room where possible. If you booked through an OTA such as Booking.com or Agoda, the change has to go through that platform, and note that booking direct at dawoohouse.com is always the cheapest channel.

Every private room — Single, Double, Triple and Quad — has its own private shower inside the room, so you never share. Only the Female Dormitory uses a shared shower room, and dorm guests also get an individual lockable locker for their belongings.
